Hanabi Blownglass is owned and operated by Ian Worling of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ian has an extensive knowledge of the process of glassblowing. His skills were developed through studies at Renton Technical College and New Bohemia in Seattle, Washington.
Ian received his Diploma of Craft and Design as a glass major from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario.
The main focus of Blownglass is lamp production. These works are unique objects which are both sculptural and functional. They are inspired by organic plant forms and realized through exploiting the natural flow of hot glass.
Blownglass also carries a small stock of carefully selected blown glass objects and will craft special items to order for a client’s specific needs.
